

The large-cavity press device started from the high pressure technology developed by Bridgman et al at the beginning of last century, including two-sided top press and polyhedral pressure chamber device. The polyhedral pressure cavity device includes tetrahedral press, hexahedral/top press and octahedral press (also known as ball division high pressure device), in which tetrahedral pressure cavity has been basically no longer used. The six - sided top press is divided into two kinds: hinge type and tie - rod type. Our company produces hinge type.
Six-sided top press is the most widely used large cavity press. This press has the advantages of strong neutral, low cost and easy operation, etc. It is the main equipment of artificial diamond single crystal, artificial diamond polycrystal, artificial diamond sintered body and cubic boron nitride, cutting tools, composite sheet and other superhard materials. It is used in high pressure earth science (simulating the reaction of various rocks in the earth's crust and mantle environment) and material synthesis (superconducting materials, superhard materials, ceramic materials, insulation materials, magnetic materials, glass materials, ferroelectric materials, biological materials, rare earth materials).


The six-sided top press is equipped with six working oil cylinders, and the primary pressure is up to 8 GPa. The two-stage 6-8 mode booster device is directly placed into the hexahedral pressure chamber to form an octahedral pressure chamber. The maximum pressure is up to 25 GPa and the maximum temperature is up to 2500℃.
Pressure precision: the hydraulic pressure control precision of the hydraulic system can reach 0.1MPa; Good heating repeatability: when the samples in the cavity are the same, the corresponding relationship between the heating power and the center temperature in the cavity has good repeatability; Simple structure: easy to operate and maintain; Precision design: six hammer pairs symmetrical and coaxial arrangement, three axes perpendicular to each other and at one point, the deviation is less than 1mm; Software control: the pressure and temperature can be monitored and recorded on the computer; Flexible operation time: can achieve several hours to several days uninterrupted work.
The hinged six-sided top hydraulic press has six working cylinders. When working, the upper, front and right three cylinders are active cylinders, and the lower, rear and left three cylinders are positioning cylinders. A closed ultra-high pressure environment with uniform pressure is formed in the synthetic chamber at the center of the main engine. At the same time, the electric heating device of the press generates high temperature in the ultra-high pressure chamber, forming a high temperature and high pressure suitable for the growth of superhard materials in the chamber.
The transmission of this press adopts hydraulic transmission controlled by electric appliance, which can be adjusted, segmented, automatic or semi-automatic cycle. Its advantages are simple structure, convenient operation, high production efficiency, reasonable use of pressure, ultra-high pressure chamber is relatively large (for the same length of the four top ultra-high pressure chamber 8.3 times), suitable for industrial production needs.

To assemble the six-sided top hydraulic press, all the faces need to be assembled together with a pin shaft. A total of 12 pins are needed. First assemble the bottom hinge beam, then assemble the four surrounding faces, and finally assemble the top side.
